Candle care
First burn
Your first burn is the most important. Make sure your candle burns to the edges - This will prevent tunnelling and promote an even burn for the duration of the life of the candle
Putting your candle out
Once your wax reaches 1.5cm from the bottom of the candle container, discontinue use. This will ensure the container will not overheat and help prevent damage to the container and surrounding surfaces.
Keep your wick trimmed
Keep your wick trimmed to 5mm after each burn. We recommend trimming after every 3 hour burn (ensure flame is extinguished before trimming). When your candle has cooled down, remove any debris before reigniting. Remember to continually re-position your wick to keep it centered.
Safety
precautions

Never leave a candle unattended
-
Don't place a burning candle within 2 feet of clothing, books, curtains, or anything flammable
-
Keep lit candles away from draughts
-
Keep lit candles out of reach of children and pets
-

-
Always read and follow the warning labels
-
A candle should not be burned for more than 4 hours.
Avoid light and hot temperatures
Soy wax and fragrances are sensitive to temperature and light. Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Soy candle information
Bottlenose Candles use pure soy wax, we do not add paraffin to any of our products. Our candles are individually made to ensure quality. Because of the nature of pure soy wax, candles can sometimes experience the following which is perfectly normal and will not affect the burning of the candle:
-
uneven surface after burning
-
wet spots (when wax pulls away from container)
-
air bubbles
